  It's so nice to see when businesses don't decline in quality no matter how much time passes.  They continue to be a CASH ONLY venue though, which makes me question their bookkeeping. But let's focus on what really matters to anyone other than the IRS....
  
  Beef Teriyaki - Still totally delicious. They only cut them in strips though, so if you have small mouths to feed, have a knife or scissors handy.
  
  Loco Moco - I typically don't ever eat this because it's hamburger patty on rice, but multiple times more expensive than a hamburger patty on rice! But this time I ordered it for the family and it was pleasantly delicious. Very moist, not overly salty gravy, and perfectly fried eggs! And the kids ate it too with minimal whining! I will take that as a win.

  3.5* Good food, good price.
  
  Seared ahi sandwich $12.95 - tuna was more cooked than I prefer. The one at Leoda's was raw in the middle, just how i like it. got it on a wheat kaiser roll (vs herb bun). Wasabi aioli was good though and made the sandwich. Mac salad was good. this was the better of the 2 entrees.
  
  Teriyaki steak 6oz $11.95 - tasted fine (maybe could've used lil more seasoning), but it was a little chewy, not bad though. No fat at least. Got stir fried vegetables (bamboo, zucchini, carrots).

  Deeeeelicious. It was my first time trying Hawai'i bbq, and it did not disappoint! I had the chicken Katy's plate, which came with the chicken (over cabbage I believe), white rice, and macaroni salad. I also got the "gravy" on the side.
  
  The chicken was SO TASTY! Moist, crunchy, and I got two whole rows (I guess I would call it?). I barely got through row one, so this could potentially have made for two meals. The rice was delicious, and the macaroni salad was fine. Not the best I've ever had but I really didn't go for the mac salad haha.
  
  The food came quickly, and I liked that they had outdoor seating since the inside of the building was pretty toasty and kinda greasy smelling (duh... it's making that bomb food!)

  We got takeout from this place for dinner one night and my oh my was it tasty! We shared the lemon caper mahi and the bbq chicken. Mahi was the major winner but chicken was really good too. Even the veggies were good. I hope to order more from here when we come back. Soooo ono!

  I've lived on my whole life and never have eaten here.  So maybe about 3 months ago, we drove to Honokowai to try it out but it was a Sunday and they were closed . So this past weekend on a Saturday we made a drive out from town back to Honokowai as the weather was beautiful and no rain for the first time in 5 days and we were in luck, they were open!
  
  I'm basing my review on my experience and only on the Mahi Lemon Caper plate lunch I had.  When I try something else I will update but I may only want to eat the Mahi Lemon Caper as it was the best I've ever had!
  
  So they are open Monday - Saturday.  For lunch and dinner.  I heard great reviews of their Mahi Lemon Caper plate lunch which is Mahi w butter, lemon, mushrooms and capers.  So that is what I ordered.  It came with 3 pieces of Mahi, a scoop of rice and your choice of steamed vegetables w teriyaki sauce or Mac salad.  I ordered mines w steamed vegetables but I think next time I will get all rice instead.  The Mahi was perfectly cooked and the sauce was out of this world.  Sorry I don't have a pic as I was super hungry and dig in before I could take a picture.   Cost of the plate lunch was $16.95 plus tax.  A bit pricey but worth it if I don't come and eat it every week, maybe it'll be a once a month stop.
  
  There is a cashier that will take your order, didn't really have much interaction besides taking my order and paying.  
  
  The parking can be a bit tight as there also is two taco restaurants, a smoothie and açaí place and a local fishing store, tattoo parlor, massage place.  Parking stalls are really tiny.  They have some seating inside and a few tables outside of the restaurant to eat but it really is a take out place.  
  
  There is a restroom around the corner that the complex shares w one another.  The restroom was very clean.  I was a little skeptical but later impressed.  
  
  A must stop when in Honokowai!!!
